LIVING STORY · VOL.011
From its triangular profile and push mechanism to the direct feeling of putting thought on paper, discover how a quiet pen can hold ideas before they slip away.
Designed by Naoto Fukasawa, the LAMY noto follows the natural placement of the fingers with a softly triangular barrel. Its clip and push mechanism are integrated into the housing, reducing unnecessary visual lines. Rather than asking for attention through decoration, it creates a calm, direct experience from picking it up to writing.
Available colors and stock are shown in the product options.
Fukasawa’s approach often begins with natural, unconscious human behavior. In the LAMY noto, this thinking becomes a softly triangular profile that guides the grip, an integrated clip that maintains visual continuity, and a push mechanism that keeps starting and stopping direct.
Dimensions and weight are based on LAMY’s official standard-model data. Minor variations may occur between finishes and measuring methods.
The LAMY noto has received distinctions including the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, Good Design Award, iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award.
Press the push button to extend or retract the writing tip. When depleted, replace the refill with a compatible LAMY M16 ballpoint refill. Open and reassemble the pen carefully without forcing or over-twisting its components.
